What if one evening, walking the streets of the Kale Mahallesi, the door of an ordinary house opens and a dim light invites you inside? What if a woman, standing in the courtyard of that house says, "I have something to tell you?” What if this woman is a decrepit goddess? Demeter, a narrator whose time is unknown, tells an alternative history about the thousands of years old city of Bergama.
